Dear Prof. Moosa,
I just wanted to thank you for your recent essay, “The Sunni Orthodoxy” in “Critical Muslim” vol 10. It was one of those rare pieces of writing which fully articulated and defined my swirling anxieties and concerns. You did something for me. You helped me.
I plan to read excerpts from your essay as my next khutbah for our women’s jummah (a small group of us organized this at a friend’s house). Not everyone has access to a copy of “Critical Muslim”, but your ideas and analyses need to be discussed.
Thank you again for your essay- it was also very readable for a lay person! Jazak Allahu khairin.
Sincerely,
N. M. Rehman
